Bio

Barbara Rhoad was born July 3rd, 1959 at Bethesda Hospital in Cincinnati , OH to Charlie and Wanda Alley. Barb is the oldest of 3 children and has a younger brother, Terry, and younger sister Cynthia. As a child, Barb enjoyed playing with other siblings and children in her neighborhood, whether it was swimming, playing in the yard, or riding bicycles. Barb and her family moved to Jamestown, TN in 1972 and has lived here ever since. In High School, Barb was a member of the Beta Club, Art Club, and Pep Club – she even won an Art award her Freshman year! From a young age, Barb has always enjoyed sewing, drawing, and using her creative talents.

After High School, Barb took a job at a shirt factory, Colonial Manufacturing, where she worked for 20 years. In November of 1980, Barb married her late-husband, Irvin, who passed away in 2008. Barb remarried in 2013 to current husband, Robert Rhoad. Barb enjoys spending time with her two step-children, Shawn and Holly, and her dog, Maizey.
Barb is actively involved in her church, Rotten Fork Community Chapel, and enjoys spending time with her husband riding motorcycles and taking trips in their 1970 Impala. Barb enjoys attending Rod Runs, races, and spending time at the shooting range.

Barb began her job in long-term care on Valentine’s Day of 2003 and has been a valued employee of Signature Healthcare of Fentress County ever since. We thank Barbara for over 14 years of service to our Elders, our facility, and this community.
