Betty was born in Irvin, KY on February 18th 1926, to Georgia Catlett and Earl Gordon. She has one Brother Earl Gordon Jr. She graduated from Anderson County High School in 1944. She played the clarinet in band and sang in the glee club, and church choir. She loves church and to sing in the choir.
She went to Old Saint Joe Nursing School in Lexington, KY. She Graduated in 1947 as a Registered Nurse. She worked as a Nurse for 55 years. Working in Hospitals, and long term care facilities.
She has 2 sets of twins. 4 children James, Ann, Sam, and Vickie. She has many Grandchildren. She loves to spend time with her family and tell stories of her past.
She is a knitter and has made many things from blankets to sweaters. She loves to make booties for babies and dish rags for all of her friends. Her favorite food is Chili.
She remember her favorite vacation spot as Cumberland Lake where she would rent a house boat. She love to get away there and spend time on the water.
She enjoys her home here at Heritage Hall. She enjoys musical entertainment and church services. If there is Bingo she will be there. She enjoys to spend time outside in the court yard. She enjoys to work in the Old Country Store. We Love Betty! She can always put a smile on your face.
