Carolyn married Noel Thomas O’Connor in 1963 and they had two children Michael and Monica. Early in her marriage Carolyn worked at Leggett’s Department store in various departments until the birth of her first child, Michael in 1967. She then decided to open a daycare where she could spend all of her time with her family. During 11 years of daycare she had her second child, Monica in 1973. She later returned to the workforce and worked at Airpax for 11 years until their closing. She continued to work various jobs until her husband’s health failed and she decided to stay home and take care of him until his passing.

Carolyn states that one of the highlights of her life was her first trip to Ireland where her and Noel went on their honeymoon and visited his family. She also has fond memories of many years of friendship with Sue Gray and Connie Bradley.

Carolyn has been a member of St. Mary’s Refuge of Sinners Catholic Church since 1963. She taught Sunday School there for 25 years.
