Kristie Watson

Signature HealthCARE of Monroe County
Mother, Helping Hand, Music Enthusiast

Bio

Kristie Watson was born on September 15, 1978 in Glasgow, KY to parents Leon and Carolyn Turner. She is one of two children. She graduated from Monroe County High School and went on to get her Associates Degree in Nursing from Western Kentucky University. She married Ravy Watson in 2011, and she has two children: Mason Hollinsworth and Morgan Hollinsworth.

Kristie began her employment with Signature Healthcare of Monroe County in December 2015, but she has worked at this facility for 20 years. She started as a CNA in 1997, transitioned to Medication Aide, and has now worked as one of the facility’s floor nurses (LPN) for 10 years. In addition to her regular duties at SHC of Monroe, Kristie also serves on the Infection Control Committee and the Music and Memory Committee. All of her years dedicated to working at this facility and how she has worked her way up are some of her favorite professional accomplishments. However, the Elders here and the love that she has for them are why she has stayed working here and why she does what she does.

Kristie is obviously great at her job, but her family, and her kids specifically, are what she is most proud of. She has helped with numerous fundraisers for the Beta Club program as well as encouraged her kids in all of their activities. In her spare time, Kristie enjoys shopping, fishing, going to all kinds of concerts (some of which include Poison, Def Leppard, and George Strait), and spending time with her family.
