LeRoy McDonald was born and raised by his parents in Texarkana, Arkansas with his 7 siblings. He was privileged to acquire some of the best drama and film training in the world allowing him to receive his B.A. degree in Drama from San Jose State University. After graduation he received multiple fellowships and internships including the:

• Shubert Playwriting Fellowship at the University of Southern California
• Directing Fellowship at the American Film Institute Center for Advanced Film Study
• AFI/Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences Internship

After his extensive training he worked as a professional actor, producer, director and screenwriter in TV and film in Los Angeles, CA and developed his own production company Quiet Majesty. Although his final film project “Scott Joplin- The King of Ragtime” was a dream deferred, he still has the hope, courage, and love in his heart for this passion. LeRoy’s personal hobbies included playing tennis, writing, and watching documentaries.
