Dedicated 16 years serving in the Quality of Life Department in Long-Term Care

Shirley attended Weldon City School and after graduation attended Halifax Community College where she got a degree in Cosmetology. She worked as a hair dresser for 30 years! After closing the shop she managed, she came to work at Signature Healthcare, which was then Kindred Healthcare.
Shirley has always loved people and loves helping people. According to Shirley, “working with the Elders in our community has been the most rewarding experience of my life, I love helping people and I hope I have made a difference in somebody’s life.”
Shirley has 1 daughter “who is perfect” and a son-in-law who she loves dearly. They have given her two of the most precious gifts anyone could ever receive; they gave her a grandson who is 14 years old and a granddaughter who is 12. They are both her pride and joy.
Shirley states, “I am blessed, I have the Lord as my Savior, and a great Signature family and my own flesh and blood family—what more could I possibly need?”
