Virginia Hixson

Virginia Hixson born October 30, 1930 in Greene County, Tennessee to Roy Hixson and Velma Freshour. She was a raised on the family farm with her 11 siblings. A favorite childhood memory was buying “just because” gifts and giving them to her loved ones. Today, her siblings reflect on her kindred spirit and love of helping others. Virginia attended St. James High School and went on to graduate from Walter State Community College with her Degree in Nursing. Virginia began her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse with Signature Healthcare in August 1981. She married her childhood sweetheart Farley Gosnell. Unfortunately after 25 years of marriage, Farley passed away. Virginia is a member of Rehobeth United Methodist Church and spent 20 years teaching the Adult Sunday School class. Her favorite hobbies are listening to religious hymns and reading her Bible. We recognize Virginia for her compassion and dedication to her family and community.
