Bio

Leonard and Ann Blount were blessed with the birth of the eldest of their three daughters, Ms. Zanika Blount, on October 27th 1977 while living in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Growing up in a Christian home, where her parents were both ministers and in the military, Zanika was taught at a young age the importance of education, compassion, and love through caring for others.

Ms. Zanika Blount was an honorary graduate of Timmonsville High School in South Carolina. She then advanced her educational studies at Francis Marion University in Florence, South Carolina. While residing in Florence, she impacted her community with her professional public relations services at an employment agency, where she provided educational services to those seeking career advancement and employment opportunities.

Along with assisting families in need, her love for helping others also extended to adolescents who were economically disadvantaged. She provided empowerment classes that inspired hundreds of young individuals to be productive and successful citizens in their communities.

In 1999, she relocated to Dothan, Alabama where she successfully earned an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Physical Therapy in order to further pursue her passion for helping others.

In 2016, Zanika ad her family were richly blessed with the arrival of her beautiful daughter, Genesis. Along with the joy of being a mother, she has always had a heart for inspiring others not only through her career, but through her God given talent of inspirational singing. This is one of the many ways that she uses innovative techniques to impact both her Elders at Washington Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, and the citizens of her community.

She has received many awards for her captivating talent, including being named the 1996 Talent Winner of the Hal Jackson Teen Pageant in South Carolina. She also participated in South Carolina’s Heart-Felt Expressions, where she was chosen out of thousands of individuals to express her talent of inspirational singing. recently, She was selected as Titans Got Talent Top 5 Winner in Dothan, Alabama.

She has premiered on local television commercials, and has hosted her very own broadcast entitled, Radical on the Reel, a faith-based television program produced by her father. Zanika’s musical talent is not only a gift, it is a ministry as well. She and her sisters have a group called Triple Anointing, which is comprised of the three sisters who are committed to being used by god to set the captives free through gospel singing.

She is a firm believer that, ‘Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. Love never fails.” (1 Corinthians 13: 4 & 8).
